Bio: I was 7 months old when my new owners came & got me one snowy night. I was tied by a short chain to my dog house & it was so cold outside. De loaded me up in a car in dads lap & we drove for miles & miles before we got to der house. De took me in de house & put me in a big kennel. I now a house dog & I so happy I warm when it cold & cool when it hot!

Goals: My goals is to become a very good dog for Mom & Dad. Also to become an excellent tracker like my sis Sauci.

Likes: Likes to go to kitchen wit Mom & watch her cook.

Dislikes: I don’t like stayin in the outdoor kennel.

Biggest Fear: Dat mom will leave.

Bio: I was nearly a year old when my previous owners dumped me at a small town lake in de middle of December. By de time sumbudy caught me I wuz skin N bones, dirty & cold (de say I looked like a little skeleton). Me lived in de woods by dis little lake for several weeks by myself. Then these nice people took me to my new home & I in heaven now! My mom loves my kisses & hugs she a Goddess to me. I can’t seem to press my face to hers close enough. My favorite time of day is when I can curl up in bed wit mom & dad. Me kisses em & kisses em & give them soulful looks of love!

Goals: My goals are to be sneaky & steal kibble from Annie

Likes: Sleepin in bed in moms arms

Dislikes: Annie the bloodhound buggin me when I am curled up in de covers.

Bio:   Well Mommy was visiting grandpa and little did she know I was waiting for her ….anyways she said that she never wanted a little dog as she had always had BIG doggies than she saw my breed “PUGGLE” and said AWWWWW…Okay, so she is at grandpas they stop on the way home to look at some fish….then she saw ME!!! Mommy couldnt have anymore babies so she told daddy she had to buy her “late in life four legged baby” soooooo here I am….she says she couldnt love me more if she gave birth to me herself!!! I know my cousins and aunts and uncles DONT understand our bond….but mommy and me doooooo. Mommy’s favorite thing that I do besides snuggle and kiss and love her is my HOWL from the beagle…..it makes her laugh and laugh….and than she says something about if I had thumbs we would ALL be in trouble I dont know what it means……..

Likes:   Naps, sleeping, naps, eating, naps, playing catch outside, naps, watching mommy make cookies, did I say NAPS??  Okay okay…..*mommy is nudging me*  FINE.  MY sister Chloe! There I said it. HMMMFFF.

Dislikes:   People who dont love me as much as my mommy!!! or dont feed me what they are eating…I need a taste toooo

Biggest Fear:  That ONE of those times Mommy leaves she WONT come back home to ME!!!  YIKES   *shaking*

Bio:  Mommy didnt think I would make it to my 2nd birthday as I ATE : Christmas light bulbs 8 packs, mommy’s Christmas bunny family, YEP the WHOLE family- Mom,Dad,sister,brother and EVEN Grandma!, cans of pop, things like that…  They would call me Satan’s Child I DONT know why JUST LOOK at me!!!! I just became the “head of the Household Anipal”  Its okay.  I have to put up with that Rat….Oops did I type that outloud!!  I meant to say LOVE my sister Lainey *there Mommy are YOU Happy* shhhh, dont tell anyone but I do REALLY like playing with my sister.

Likes: hmmm. Balls - the petsmart tied dyed ones….I have like about 5 of them and they go where I go! Sleeping with daddy til mommy comes to bed…than I have to get out. HOW RUDE!!

Dislikes: Coming when I DONT want to!!  SHARING my bed and thats about it!!  I am MUCH more easy going now that I am older!!

Biggest Fear: That I will go to bed one night and MY BED WILL BE GONE. OMD!!!!!

House of Puddles

House of Puddles (HOP) is a final refuge for homeless senior basset hounds. We are a 501(c)(3) charity.  Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, comfortable home for unwanted, unadoptable bassets who would otherwise be euthanized because they have no place else to go.  We care for the senior bassets for the rest of their lives, providing for all their needs, including veterinary care, medications, food, nutritional supplements, grooming and any other special needs they might have. 

All the senior bassets (and one neurotic middle-aged coonhound) live in the home with Marilyn Brazzle, HOP founder, just like any well-loved pet.  They sleep on her bed, on the couch, or anywhere else they feel comfortable.  They have free access to a large, fenced in yard via their own doggie door.  There are no kennels.

Bio: Sylvie was adopted from Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods when she was approximately 2 years old. She had a litter of pups before she was adopted.  She knows when someone’s going through a hard time, and gives extra leans and cuddles to help them feel better.  As much as she pretends to be tough, she’s a real softie.

Likes: Cookies, blankies, beds, shaking paws, cuddling, leaning, tummy & butt rubs

Dislikes: Baths, toenail clipping, squeaky toys, rain, medicine

Biggest Fear: Loud noises (thunder, fireworks, whistles)

• @LaineysPawtique has some of the yummiest cookies I’ve eaten, and I’ve eaten plenty of cookies in my day.  Also, Lainey is one friendly pup.
• @Loupeb is generous with his nose kisses and always makes me giggle.  Plus he looks out for his twitter pals.
• @Fergusthedog came from a shelter just like I did. And even though he’s always getting into mischief, he’s a real sweetheart.
